6.1 Introduction
The Release Profiles defined in this part of the ERN standard are a subset of the descriptions of releases and resources that can be communicated in a NewReleaseMessage
as defined in Part 1 of the ERN standard. When using the Release Profiles defined in this part of the ERN standard the following rules apply.
A Release Profile shall consist of exactly one of the basic Release Profiles (see Clause 6.2 to Clause 6.10) combined with none, one or more of the Release Profile variants (see Clause 11).
Regardless of the profile, a
NewReleaseMessage
shall contain exactly one main release.Depending on the profile a
NewReleaseMessage
shall contain none, one, or many Track Releases as indicated in Clause 6.2 to 6.10 below.Where Clause 6.2 to 6.10 indicate that one or many Track Releases need to be provided, the
NewReleaseMessage
shall contain exactly one Track Release composite in accordance with Clause 9 for each Primary Resource referenced in the main release, regardless of whether there are any deals available for the Track Release.In addition to following the profile-specific rules defined or referenced in Clause 6.2 to Clause 6.10 and Clause 11, the
NewReleaseMessage
shall conform to the common rules defined in Clause 7.The Profile IDs set out in Clause 6.2 to Clause 6.10 do not contain any white-space characters.
